Alison Canavan Talk
As part of wellbeing week, former model Alison Canavan kindly took time out of her day to give our school a talk about mental health. She told us about her life and the difficulties she experienced in the modelling industry. She made it relatable to our lifestyle too as she said she experienced the same pressures we faced. She found meditation was very effective in turning her life around and she taught us a few different breathing methods to relax yourself which I found very effective. I found this was a good talk as I learnt everyone faces similar issues and that there are ways to control yourself when you feel everything is beyond your control.
